Citra Bahani

Our Story

Textile waste is considered one of the most significant pollutants in the world—unregulated waste disposal, fast fashion and its footprints on our forest, and choice of fabrics. In the vast market in Indonesia, educating consumers on opting for ethical and sustainable options is critical to address the issue of textile waste and its contribution to climate change.

Born from earth consciousness, Citrabahani was established in 2022 as a channel to address the environmental problems caused by the textile and fast fashion industry. An amalgamation of “Citrambara” and “Bahan,” Citrabahani encapsulates fabrics of various colors, quality and sustainable materials, and ethical practices. Our purpose in addressing the fashion waste issue on our planet is well-represented in our logo. Incorporating elements like circularity, nature, and diversity as an embodiment of our values—a constant reminder of our intention every day.

Fashion does not have to destroy the earth. By being conscious of where the materials come from, what they are made of, and the purpose behind the attire, we can thoughtfully choose a sustainable option when given a choice. Together, let’s take part in addressing the issue of climate change with us, one fabric at a time.
